Promotional Content? What's that again?

Promotional content is the equivalent of iOS In-App Events.

It's about self-serve merchandising units on Google Play that feature fresh and timely content such as special offers, limited-time events, new content, and major updates.

EXTRA: About Outcomes

Users see and interact with events in different ways, depending on whether they have your app installed, and which version.

  • ACQUISITION: a user who doesn't have your app installed sees an 'Install' button. When they convert, they are acquired as a user.

  • OPEN: a user who has the latest version of your app on their device sees 'Open' or 'Play', and the button opens your app.

  • UPDATE: a user with an old version of your app sees 'Update'.
