IMPORTANT - To set up your Google Play connector you'll need:

  • An active Easy App Reports subscription

  • Google Chrome (best browser for Looker Studio)

  • Admin-level access to your Google Play Console Developer Account

Also, please be aware that Google takes up to 30 hours to release your data on Looker Studio after you grant access to our services account.

Part 1 - Finding your Bucket ID and granting access to our Google Services account

  1. First, login on Easy App Reports and add a "New Data Source"

  2. Click "Continue with Google" to connect your account.
IMPORTANT: make sure that this Google Account has access to the Play Console account you wish to connect.

  3. Complete your Google login process until the end

  4. In a new tab, sign in to your Google Developer Account (your "Play Console")

  5. Select any option below the "Download Reports" section on the menu

  7. Now you can go back to your Google Play Setup page and add paste it:

  8. Now you can select how many apps you want to syunc:
Note: the amount of apps you can connect depends on your subscription tier and add-ons.

  9. That's it, your Google Play account is now connected 🎉

Part 2 - Activating your Looker Studio connector

Once you see a success message later, you can use your connector.

  1. Log in with the email and password from your Easy App Reports account

  2. From this point on, your connector is already active. Make sure to leave that checkbox marked if you want to use the free template we provide and pick which report you'd like to use, and hit "Connect"

Each report contains different kinds of data but don't worry: you can add multiple reports to the same dashboard. See the full list of fields available on this link.

  3. That's it 🏆

Conclusion

From now on, your data will remain available unless you "unlink" your Google login.

This means no more dealing with CSVs and wasting time to build your app reports! I hope you have a great one with us.
